A leading manufacturer in the building products industry is seeking a Pricing Manager to drive strategic pricing initiatives that align with both operational growth and financial performance objectives. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role partnering with business leaders across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Finance to implement data-driven pricing strategies that enhance profitability and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define product positioning, pricing strategies, and competitive pricing intelligence.
- Support the Sales team with pricing-related activities including quote management, special program pricing, and reporting tied to revenue goals.
- Analyze customer pricing strategies to ensure alignment with profitability targets and market expectations.
- Monitor economic and market trends affecting product performance and share insights with leadership.
- Maintain discount structures and margin data in pricing tools to support consistent and strategic pricing decisions.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with customer agreements in the ERP system.
- Manage list price and discount updates for designated product lines, including new product launches and discontinuations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on pricing in system and process development initiatives.
- Provide input for leadership reporting and assist in training internal teams on pricing, product knowledge, and market conditions.
- Promote a collaborative environment through cross-functional training and knowledge sharing.
- Take on additional pricing or strategy-related projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10+ years of experience in pricing and manufacturing environments, preferably in building products or B2B sectors.
- Deep understanding of pricing strategy, cost structures, and market analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems (JDE and Salesforce preferred); advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong communication and analytical skills with a sharp attention to detail.
