Our clinic is a 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a 30-year history of providing primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting. Established in 1989 in response to the primary health care needs of the medically indigent population in suburban Denver, our clinic has one of the largest population bases of any FQHC in Colorado. We provide primary care, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, health education, care coordination, patient navigation, pharmacy, and outreach and enrollment services in accordance with our mission.

What will you be doing in this role? A successful candidate will:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct health care services to patients.
  • Offer clinical consultation and arrange referrals to other providers and clinical staff.
  • Direct patient care workflow from mid-level providers.
  • Review lab and x-ray results of other providers’ patient care results.
  • Evaluate medical charts to determine appropriate patient care follow-up.
  • Administer clinical group meetings to evaluate patient care efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Enter patient health data into the electronic medical records system (EMR) database.

Non-Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Attend all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned.
  • Meet with Medical Director individually as needed for logistical issues or concerns.

What we offer:

The hiring salary range for this position has been established as:

$203,734.00 - $247,865.00 salary/year

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents our clinic's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess the following education or formal training:

Education or Formal Training:

  • Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited educational institution or school.
  • Medical residency training from an accredited educational institution or school.
  • Board certification in primary care specialty.

A successful candidate will possess experience:

Experience: Previous experience working as a primary care provider in a clinical setting is preferred.

Knowledge, skill, and ability:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in primary care specialty (family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, nurse midwifery, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner).
  • Ability to function in a clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients.
  • Ability to effectively and sensitively respond to the needs and concerns of the full range of our clinic's diverse patient population.
  • Customer service skills, including the ability to diffuse upset patients.
  • Ability to collaborate with other providers and clinical staff to develop continual quality improvement procedures.
  • Ability to identify barriers to performance of others and provide coaching, training, or other assistance to remove those barriers.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of patient, employee, and business information.

Material and equipment directly used:

Computer (personal laptop supplied by the clinic), printer, copy/scanner, multi-line telephone systems, fax machine, and all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and the internet.

Working environment/physical activities:

Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse, and keyboard. Moves/transports objects up to 25lbs frequently and up to 75lbs occasionally. Communicates information to others. Discerns/analyzes information from others to assist in decision-making.

In an aim to help keep our patients, staff, and communities safe, our clinic requires that all hired employees be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and obtain an annual flu shot. Clinic employees are also required to be screened for tuberculosis and to complete a PPD test.
