This role sits within a high-performing agency planning team, working closely with a major network agency group, offering exposure to large-scale, high-value campaigns across a diverse client portfolio.

 

The Role

Reporting into a Business Director, the Client Director will take ownership of key client relationships within a major agency patch, leading both strategic output and team delivery.

 

This is a senior leadership role combining:

  • Strategic OOH planning
  • Commercial growth responsibility
  • Team leadership and development
  • High-level client and agency relationship management

 

You will play a critical role in driving revenue, elevating client service standards, and identifying new opportunities across both active and dormant accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of client accounts, ensuring best-in-class delivery across all campaigns
  • Own and develop senior relationships with clients and agency stakeholders
  • Drive organic growth, identifying opportunities to increase OOH investment across your portfolio
  • Oversee responses to briefs, including strategic rationale, planning output, and commercial alignment
  • Collaborate closely with investment and planning teams to deliver high-quality campaign solutions
  • Present work confidently to senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Client Managers and Executives, supporting their progression
  • Resolve campaign and client challenges proactively, maintaining strong service standards
  • Contribute to forecasting, revenue tracking, and client KPIs
  • Lead participation in client audits and performance reviews
  • Strengthen agency relationships through regular engagement and collaboration
  • Support internal initiatives, including training, system improvements, and cross-functional projects
  • Champion sustainability and responsible media practices within your team

 

What They’re Looking For

Strategic & Commercial

  • Strong strategic planning capability within OOH or wider media channels
  • Highly commercially aware, with experience driving revenue growth across accounts
  • Ability to translate data and insight into actionable campaign strategies

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Proven experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent relationship management skills across clients, agencies, and internal teams
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong ownership

Technical & Industry Expertise

  • Solid experience in UK OOH planning and/or comms planning, ideally across high-spend accounts
  • Comfortable working in data-led environments and performance-driven planning
  • Strong organisational and operational planning skills
