What sets this business apart is its ability to unify data, insight, and activation within a single ecosystem — enabling more effective, insight-led media strategies at scale.

The company fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment where ideas are valued, and innovation is driven by a shared ambition to redefine digital media.

As Growth & Partnerships Director, you’ll spearhead the commercial strategy, blending new business development, client upsell, and strategic marketing to drive scalable revenue growth.

This role is suited to a solutions-oriented leader who thrives in dynamic environments, excels at building senior relationships, and can translate market opportunities into actionable plans. You’ll leverage your network, craft compelling narratives, and work closely with marketing to position the business as a leader in digital media innovation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Strategy & Pipeline Development

  • Own the end-to-end growth strategy, from prospecting to pitch, ensuring a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities (£1m+ engagements).
  • Identify and nurture relationships with brands/advertisers and key intermediaries (e.g. pitch consultants and procurement advisors) to secure inclusion in RFPs and tenders.
  • Build a network of partnerships with complementary agencies (e.g. creative, data, or specialist consultancies) and industry networks to drive lead generation.
  • Develop targeted outreach campaigns (email, social, events), working closely with marketing to align messaging and positioning.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving client needs to continuously refine the value proposition.
  • Track and manage a pipeline of forecasted opportunities through internal reporting systems.

2. Strategic Pitch Leadership

  • Establish and evolve pitch best practice, improving credentials, storytelling, and overall pitch effectiveness.
  • Lead early-stage pitches and oversee RFP responses, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact proposals.
  • Develop persuasive, insight-led narratives that clearly differentiate the business in competitive situations.

3. Client & Partner Engagement

  • Act as a senior relationship lead for key accounts, supporting retention, upsell, and referral opportunities.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders (consultants, procurement teams, platforms) to increase visibility and access to opportunities.
  • Create and lead high-value networking initiatives (e.g. executive dinners, thought leadership events) to strengthen C-suite relationships.

4. Marketing & Thought Leadership

  • Shape the go-to-market strategy alongside senior leadership, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Represent the business at industry events, panels, and webinars as a credible spokesperson.
  • Contribute to thought leadership that positions the company as an innovator within digital media and audience intelligence.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and develop commercial team members, driving a high-performance and accountable culture.
  • Work closely with client success and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and strong client outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in media, advertising, or digital, with a strong track record in growth, business development, or senior client leadership.
  • Proven ability to secure large-scale (£1m+) multi-year deals, typically via competitive pitch or RFP processes.
  • Strong commercial storyteller, able to translate complex capabilities into compelling, client-focused narratives.
  • Well-networked, with established senior relationships across brands, advertisers, and/or intermediaries.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of pricing models, procurement processes, and industry benchmarks.
  • Creative approach to pitching and presenting, with the ability to develop differentiated and engaging proposals.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to align sales, marketing, and delivery functions.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments, adapting strategy where needed.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel / Google Sheets).
