HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS

Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish


Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

·        Assists in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and tracking of new possible candidates in HRIS

·        Completes form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files

·        Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions while maintaining positive employee relations and working to solve any employee issues that surface

·        Assists with employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to.

·        Assists with payroll processing in UKG/ back-up payroll processor.

·        Acts as translator for employee meetings and any necessary documents

·        Conducts new employee orientation

·        Assists with administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.

·        Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews.

·        Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.

·        Makes sure all employee documents are scanned correctly into employees file in HRIS

·        Educates employees on and enforces company policies.

·        Assists with employee engagement activities.

·        Travels to other plants to assist with open enrollment and provide translation support

·        Other related duties & responsibilities as assigned.


Skills/ Experience:

·        Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish

·        Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

·        Must have strong organizational, communication and documentation skills

·        Excellent judgement, with attention to detail and strong analytical skills

·        Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures

·        Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines

·        Ability to function well in a high-paced environment

·        Must be proactive and anticipate next steps

·        Experience with an HRIS is preferred


Education Background:

·        2-4 years of Human Resources Experience

·        Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field is a plus
