Director of Strategy & Operations (S&O)

Location: Miami, FL (In-Person)

Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000

The Mission: Building the Scalable Engine

We are representing a high-growth HealthTech/Fintech startup (CVRD Health) that is disrupting the Government Contracting (GovCon) benefits space. They have the product-market fit, the technology, and a large, warm pipeline.

Now, they need the Architect.

Currently, our onboarding and delivery involve a mix of high-end tech and manual "human-in-the-loop" processes (about 30%). We are looking for a Strategy & Ops leader who can look at how we do things today and say: "This is how it’s done now, but here is the 10x version." This role is about taking ownership, eliminating friction, and building a lean, world-class delivery machine.

The Role: The "Think Tank" & Execution Lead

This is a high-level Individual Contributor role (to start) that functions as the company’s internal consulting arm. You will work directly with the Co-Founder to tackle "unsolved" problems and bridge the gap between sales and long-term customer success.

The "S&O" Focus

  • Process Re-Engineering: Audit the current customer onboarding journey. Identify the bottlenecks in manual health plan enrollments and design the "Better Way" to execute.
  • Operational Excellence: You aren't just following a playbook; you are writing it. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end coordination that the tech doesn’t handle yet.
  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Work side-by-side with the Sales team to ensure what is sold can be delivered, and with the Product team to turn manual "pain points" into automated features.
  • Lean Execution: We don’t need high-priced consultants who give advice; we need a startup-minded operator who finds the solution and then stays to pull the lever.

Who You Are (The "S&O" Profile)

  • The Startup Veteran: You have lived the 0-to-1 or 1-to-10 scale. You understand that "Strategy" without "Operations" is just a PowerPoint. You have a "bias for action."
  • The McKinsey Brain / Startup Heart: You might have a background in top-tier consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), but you left because you wanted to own the outcome, not just the recommendation.
  • The Efficiency Obsessive: You can’t stand broken processes. You naturally look at a workflow and start finding ways to automate, outsource, or simplify it.
  • The Collaborator: You will be a peer and partner to our high-performing Strategic Ops lead (Ben) and the Co-Founders. You need to be able to "build in the room" together.
  • Miami Based: This is a "war room" environment. You are either in Miami or ready to move here immediately to build in person.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5-8+ years in Strategy & Ops, Management Consulting, or a high-growth SaaS startup (Founding Team or early Ops hire experience is a massive plus).
  • Skills: Expert-level process mapping, data-driven decision-making, and project management.
  • The "Ownership" Factor: You’ve previously taken a messy internal process and turned it into a streamlined, repeatable department.
  • Industry: Healthcare or GovCon experience is a bonus, but startup grit and S&O methodology are the primary requirements.

Why This Role?

  • Strategic Impact: You are joining at the "Inflection Point." The pipeline is there—you are the key to unlocking the revenue.
  • Direct Access: You report to and build with the Co-Founder. No layers, no bureaucracy.
  • The Miami HQ: Be at the center of the action in one of the fastest-growing tech hubs in the country.
  • Equity: Significant upside in a company solving a multi-billion dollar problem for the backbone of the US economy (Government Contractors).
