As a small team rapidly scaling to a dozen full-time employees post-fundraise, we’re seeking a dynamic, high-impact individual to join our mission-driven company as a Senior Full Stack Developer. This role is pivotal to increasing our product velocity.
Role Overview
Drive product development from concept to deployment. Work directly with our CTO and product leadership to build scalable features for professional sports organizations. This is a high-autonomy role where you'll own significant portions of our architecture and directly influence technical direction. You'll join our 3-person engineering team and work across our platform.

- Shipping new/enhanced features each sprint
- Maintaining <1% crash rate and excellent performance
- Reducing technical debt through thoughtful refactoring
- Mentoring team members and elevating engineering practices
Key Responsibilities
Build & Ship
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features across mobile and backend
- Leverage AI development tools to accelerate development
- Own features end-to-end from technical design through production monitoring
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code that scales
- Balance speed with quality and long-term maintainability
Lead & Influence
- Establish and maintain engineering best practices and coding standards
- Conduct code reviews and mentor team members
- Make pragmatic technical decisions, balancing immediate needs with scalability
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies, including AI tools, MCPs, and emerging frameworks that increase velocity while maintaining quality
- Champion code quality through testing and automated analysis
Optimize & Scale
- Design performant systems supporting rapid growth
- Optimize queries, APIs, and mobile app performance
- Maintain monitoring and alerting (Sentry, CloudWatch)
- Debug and resolve production issues quickly
Collaborate
- Partner with the product manager to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Work with design/frontend on intuitive, responsive interfaces
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Document technical decisions and architecture
- Communicate effectively across time zones

Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of professional software development with increasing complexity
- Extensive, focused use of AI-powered development tools (Claude Code)
- Strong TypeScript expertise across frontend and backend
- React and React Native proficiency (hooks, state management, cross-platform development)
- Backend framework experience (NestJS, Express, or similar Node.js/TypeScript)
- GraphQL proficiency (schema design, resolvers, Apollo Client/Server)
- PostgreSQL and ORMs (TypeORM or similar, query optimization)
- AWS experience (Lambda, RDS, S3, EC2, serverless patterns)
- Git workflows, code review, and testing practices (Jest, Playwright)
- Fluent English for remote collaboration
- 4+ working hours overlap with US Eastern Time
Bonus Points
- NestJS, TypeORM, Serverless Framework, AWS Cognito, Redis
- Expo/EAS Build experience
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (GitHub Actions)
- AI/LLM development experience (building chat features, streaming, Langsmith)
