Position Summary
We are hiring two Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our team. These individuals will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing a fleet of garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and other heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidates are mechanically skilled, dependable, and thrive in both independent and team settings. This is a hands-on opportunity with long-term stability and room for advancement.
Salary: up to $50 an hour experience dependent
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and oil changes on garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and skid steer equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including major repairs as needed.
- Conduct DOT inspections to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Respond to urgent repairs and breakdowns throughout the workday.
- Source and order parts promptly to reduce vehicle downtime.
- Maintain clear records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure fleet readiness and safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and skid steers is preferred.
- Must possess MN DOT Certification for Inspections (Required).
- Effective diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in workshop environments.
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Night Shift: Monday – Thursday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Friday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
