Head of Engineering | Hybrid London | Blockchain Applications | Up to £250K + bonus/tokens 

We’re working with a pioneering Web3 organisation building next-generation blockchain products that power real-world use cases across DeFi, digital assets, marketplaces, and cultural platforms. Their mission is to create secure, scalable, and user-focused applications that make blockchain technology accessible to both developers and end users. 

This is a senior leadership role where you’ll define and execute the technical vision for application-layer development. You’ll oversee engineering teams delivering high-impact dApps, developer tooling, and wallets, working closely with product, design, and commercial leadership to bring innovative blockchain solutions to market. 

Responsibilities 

• Define and drive the engineering strategy for application-layer development 
• Lead an engineering organisation of 30+ people, including managers and senior engineers 
• Partner with product and design teams to deliver solutions that solve real user problems 
• Coach and develop engineering leaders while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability 
• Oversee delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure blockchain products and tooling 
• Ensure operational excellence through process, data-driven quality standards, and best practices 
• Manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively across multiple complex projects 
• Stay ahead of emerging tech trends to guide architecture and technology selection 

Skills & Experience 

• Deep technical foundation: background as a Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer with hands-on problem-solving ability 
• Proven track record leading large, complex engineering functions 
• Experience building end-user products with measurable adoption and impact 
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with ability to scale teams and processes 
• Success in delivering large-scale technical projects on time and to a high standard 
• Excellent communicator, comfortable with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
• Genuine passion and curiosity for blockchain, decentralised systems, or emerging tech
