Junior Software Engineer – Low Latency Trading Systems

New York (Hybrid)

Salary: USD 100,000 – 140,000 + benefits + bonus

We’re working with a growing global fintech building real-time trading infrastructure across digital asset markets.

They’re looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join the team responsible for their core trade execution systems — where trades are routed, processed and executed in live markets.

This role would suit an early-career engineer who wants exposure to performance-focused systems and real production environments. You’ll be contributing to live trading infrastructure while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative team.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and improving backend services in Golang (or C++)
• Supporting exchange and liquidity integrations (REST, WebSockets, FIX)
• Working on systems that handle real-time trading activity
• Improving performance, stability and reliability
• Contributing to a distributed microservices architecture
• Collaborating closely with engineers across the platform

What they’re looking for

• 1–3 years’ software engineering experience (internships count)
• Experience with Golang or C++
• Strong backend fundamentals
• Experience building or consuming APIs
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Understanding of concurrency basics
• Clear communication and a proactive mindset

Nice to have

• Interest in trading systems or financial markets
• Exposure to performance-sensitive systems
• Kafka, Docker or Kubernetes
• Networking fundamentals
