Trading Operations Engineer

Hybrid | London | £100,000 – £200,000 + bonus

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Trading Operations Engineer to join their trading team in London.

This is a hybrid role supporting high-volume, live trading environments within a fast-paced, technology-driven business.

The Role:

They are looking for someone who will:

• Monitor live trading activity and portfolio risk
• Support and improve their automated trading operations systems
• Work closely with internal teams on technical projects and upgrades
• Help scale and enhance trading infrastructure
• Investigate and resolve trading, position, or reconciliation discrepancies
• Optimise order entry and market data connectivity
• Troubleshoot issues within complex real-time systems

What They’re Looking For:

• Relevant experience in trading, operations, or a related technical field
• Strong Python scripting skills
• Solid understanding of Linux environments
• Experience with P&L and risk reporting tools
• Knowledge of market structure and trading technology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
