Position Title: IT Support Specialist
Position Location: Onsite in Fort Wayne, IN
Position Pay: $19.35/hr paid weekly with OT eligibilty
Job Type: Long term contract with full benefits package.
Position Description:
- Supports computer users with the installation of hardware, software, and networking components to meet personal computer needs.
- Assists with Windows 11 upgrades and deployment of new or replacement machines.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems for individual and multiple computer systems; collaborates with vendors as needed to resolve issues.
- Conducts diagnostic reviews and produces error reports for customers to identify and correct problems.
- Assists with computer studies, projects, and implementation of policies within assigned areas.
- Aids in the design and development of standardized operational management reports to identify issues or monitor computer systems.
- Researches, analyzes, and provides recommendations and purchasing information regarding hardware and software.
- Diagnoses and resolves moderate end-user hardware/software problems, including remote access software.
- Configures new computers and coordinates the workstation upgrade or replacement process.
- Participates in the deployment of new software platforms.
- Tracks user requests for equipment, information, and problem reporting by opening service cases and maintaining current and complete case histories.
- Confirms with users that issues are resolved before closing cases.
Skills Required:
- Experience with M365 / O365 migrations is required.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and IT terminology.
- Basic problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
Skills Preferred:
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow ticketing system is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Palo Alto VPN application as it relates to desktop support.
Experience Required:
2 years of IT support experience with a high school diploma.
Education Required:
High school diploma.
