Position Title: IT Support Specialist – PC Refresh
Location: Endicott, NY
Contract: 6-months (extension or direct hire possible)
Schedule: 9/80 schedule with some overtime (100% onsite)
Compensation: $24.85/hour + 5 days accrued PTO and optional benefits
Position Description:
- Provide support to computer users with the installation of hardware, software, and networking components to address personal computer needs.
- Assist with Windows 11 upgrades and deployment of new/replacement machines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues affecting individual or multiple computer systems to maintain optimal functionality; resolve problems, including coordination with and support from vendors when necessary.
- Conduct diagnostic reviews and produce error reports as requested to identify and resolve system issues.
- Assist with computer studies, technology projects, and policy implementations across assigned areas.
- Support the design and development of standardized operational management reports for issue identification and computer monitoring.
- Research, analyze, and provide hardware/software recommendations and purchasing information to users regarding necessary equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve moderate end-user hardware and software issues, including remote access software.
- Perform new computer configurations and coordinate the workstation upgrade/replacement process.
- Participate in the deployment of new software platforms.
- Track and manage user requests for equipment, information, and reported problems by opening service cases and maintaining complete, current case histories.
- Confirm with the customer that issues have been resolved before closing each case.
- Provide support for ongoing PC Refresh initiatives.
Skills Required:
- Experience with M365/O365 migrations
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and IT terminology
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good organizational abilities
Skills Preferred:
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow ticketing system
- Experience with Palo Alto VPN application (desktop support use)
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of IT support experience
- High school diploma
