JOB TITLE:             Crusher Operations & Maintenance Supervisor


Purpose & Scope of The Position: 

The successful candidate will supervise Crusher Operations and Maintenance Technicians at the Primary Crusher and machine shop.


Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Provide and/or improve process equipment availability and capacity through technical application of planned maintenance methods dedicated to preserving the Company's day-to-day asset reliability as shared responsibilities with a Maintenance planner.
  • Direct the activities of all mechanical and operational functions of the crusher process plant. Activities will be conducted in a planned maintenance structure with an emphasis placed on safety and proactive maintenance. Work will be conducted in a lean operating environment and will require strong organization and communication skills.
  • Train maintenance technicians on job functions and requirements set out by the pay progression program.
  • Supervise a group of professionals in a fair and consistent manner while following the policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • All employees are accountable for the safety of themselves as well as that of their coworkers.
  • Follow safe work procedures and best practices.


Required Education, Work Experience & Training:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Process Maintenance, preferably in the mining industry.
  • A minimum of 1.5 years’ experience as a supervisor in a similar work environment.
  • The ability to effectively manage a multi-functional department.
  • A valid Driver’s License.


Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of the use of a computerized Maintenance Management system is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or equivalent software systems.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Train maintenance technicians on job functions and requirements set out by the pay progression program.
  • Supervise a group of professionals in a fair and consistent manner while following the policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.


Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force constantly.
