We are currently searching for a permanent Program Coordinator for a Social Services organization. This is a full-time, hybrid position.

POSITION TITLE: VA Program Coordinator
SALARY: $50,000 to $70,000, based on experience
Is This Your Dream Job: The VA Program Coordinator will oversee service provision and reporting for the organization’s Arlington location. In addition to management duties, this position is hands-on and is ideal for people who want to be involved and build relationships with people with intellectual disabilities.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· At least three to five years of experience working directly with individuals who has an intellectual disability or other developmental disabilities and
· Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, including, but not limited to sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.
· Desire to build relationships of trust and transformation, including learning from people with disabilities and their networks of support.
· Highly organized and able to follow through with projects independently.
· 3+ years of management experience preferred.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
· Maintain systems for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and contract requirements.
· Write individual service plans (ISPs) and oversee implementation of these plans for program participants.
· Oversee required recordkeeping, including progress notes, data sheets, medication logs, and schedules of services.
· Collaborate with providers of professional services - psychiatry, nutrition/wellness, sexuality education, and others as necessary.
· Collaborate with Training Coordinator to ensure all VA direct care employees are in compliance with onboarding, orientation and annual training requirements.
· Be present in homes to build relationships and to monitor services, to share in rotation of on-call duties, and to provide direct service coverage in emergency situations, where program participants’ needs warrant.
· Supervise Service Team Leader in leading team of assistants by facilitating programming changes with teams, encouraging growth in assistants and responding to matters of program participants’ needs
· Oversee health care needs of program participants by monitoring healthcare provider visits, documentation, overseeing medication administration, and creating and maintaining documentation of medical care.
· Provide documentation necessary to Business Manager and Finance team to submit timely and accurate Medicaid Billing, annual fee agreements, social security benefits, and the use of Medicaid/Medicare funding for purchases as applicable.
