Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Senior Accountant to contribute to the company’s core accounting and financial reporting functions. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, financial systems, and reporting activities while helping ensure compliance with internal control standards, US GAAP, and applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings several years of hands-on accounting experience, strong analytical abilities, and the organizational skills needed to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and review monthly journal entries as part of the financial close process
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses to support accurate financial reporting
  • Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation align with GAAP and company control policies
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures for accounting workflows
  • Assist with improving accounting processes and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies
  • Compile schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests
  • Participate in special projects and financial analysis as needed
  • Collaborate with the broader accounting team on initiatives that enhance reporting and operational effectiveness

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
  • Advanced degree or CPA designation is beneficial but not required
  • Approximately 4 or more years of progressive accounting experience
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Strong documentation and process management skills
  • Experience supporting internal control environments and maintaining clear accounting procedures

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating within a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and experience using ERP platforms; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
