Summary:

The Project Engineer is under the direct stewardship of their Sr. Project Manager (Sr. PM). The Project Engineer serves as the primary resource for performing and/or overseeing assigned work. They operate in a technical environment where their skills may be applied directly to completing work or mentoring others under their direct supervision. The individual is expected to operate with little to no feedback or correction, and to take an active part in the development and maintenance of process and procedures, and training materials, as well as assist with the training of Engineering staff at all levels.

•Project Performance

o Assist supervisor in determining schedule for assigned projects

o Prepare engineering drawings, schedules, and specifications for base plan work and/or construction documents

o Perform engineering calculations for accurate design.

o Coordinate with supervisor to delegate tasks to team members to assist in completion of work.

o Provide quality control via redlines to team members

o Prepare and/or Review preparation of Construction Documents

o Responsible for the technical accuracy of Construction Documents

o Provide technical support during construction, by reviewing and responding to project RFIs and Submittals

o Technical consultant to clients regarding assigned projects


• Project Tracking and Communication

o Effectively track time and job status to maintain efficient workflow.

o Efficient and Competent use of project tracking software.

o Assist with prioritization of assigned projects and workflows to increase efficiency.

o Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding project status and needs.


• Team Mentoring and Training

o Mentoring and training Engineering staff on software, client and account standards

o Review Construction Documents, providing quality control and education opportunities for Engineering staff using company provided/documented standards


• Use available resources efficiently and effectively

• All other assigned duties


Knowledge:

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering and EI Accreditations Required

• PE preferred

• Minimum (4) years of design experience

• Advanced Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit/Applicable Discipline Specific software

• Advanced knowledge of ability to prepare Construction Documents

• Advanced knowledge of various construction techniques and Codes

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Intermediate knowledge of Bluebeam Revu

• Ability to think critically to complete work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to communicate knowledge to Engineers and Designers

• Provide leadership through the development of Engineers and Designers

• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute with a high level of accuracy.

• Excel at meeting deadlines by utilizing good communication and prioritization skills.

• Willing and helpful nature

• Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with other employees.

• Proficiency in English Language, reading, spoken, and written.
