Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic MEP team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of electrical systems within various building projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:
• Develop electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low voltage systems.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software to create detailed and accurate plans.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, local building codes).
• Project Management:
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, civil) to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and resolve any on-site issues.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and reviewing shop drawings.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring all installations are completed to the highest standards.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all electrical systems are designed and installed according to safety and quality standards.
• Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
• Participate in quality assurance processes to maintain the integrity and reliability of electrical systems.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for all phases of the project, including design reports, specification sheets, and as-built drawings.
• Maintain records of all design changes and updates, ensuring clear and accurate project documentation.
• Present design concepts and project updates to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the MEP industry.
• Proven experience with electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• Experience with project management and working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and building systems.
• Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
