Job Description

As a Senior Substation Lead Designer, you will be responsible for production of detailed plans for high and medium voltage physical substation improvements. Our clients include utilities, municipalities, and cooperatives. Every individual is responsible for producing a high quality work product while fostering a high level of client satisfaction. This is a senior level position, and you will be expected to take responsibility for preparation of complete and accurate plans and details. Your work will be supervised by the Substation Manager and project Engineers.

Typical Tasks

 Substation Site Plans

 Substation Arrangements and Elevations

 Conduit Plans and Schedules

 Bus Cutting Schedules and Details

 Grounding Plans and Details

 Foundation Layouts and Detailing

 Steel Structure Detailing

 Bills of Materials

 Interface with clients as needed

Qualifications

 10 years experience preferred

 Proficient knowledge of substation

 Must have strong analytical and computer skills.

 Must have strong written and verbal skills.

 Proficient in MS Office suite and AutoCad

 Must have the ability to work permanently in the US

 Education: High School Minimum, Engineering Degree preferred
