Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with land development and utilities experience to support and lead projects focused on underground infrastructure, excavation, and site development.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging design and construction, working closely with field teams, and solving real-world challenges related to utilities, grading, and site work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead civil design efforts for:
  • Land development and site development projects
  • Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drainage)
  • Excavation and trenching operations
  • Prepare and review:
  • Site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts
  • Construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with construction and field teams to:
  • Ensure constructability of designs
  • Solve field issues related to utilities and excavation
  • Support hydro-vac and trenchless operations
  • Assist with:
  • Permitting and regulatory coordination
  • Municipal and utility agency approvals
  • Client and stakeholder communication
  • Provide technical support for:
  • Sewer systems, CCTV inspection findings, and rehabilitation work
  • Pipeline excavation and infrastructure repair projects
  • Contribute to project delivery including:
  • Cost estimating and budgeting
  • Scheduling and coordination

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5–12+ years of experience in:
  • Land development
  • Civil/site design
  • Underground utilities or infrastructure
  • PE license or ability to obtain preferred
  • Strong experience with:
  • Utility design (water, sewer, storm)
  • Grading and drainage
  • Construction coordination
  • Familiarity with:
  • Hydro excavation / trenchless methods (preferred)
  • Municipal infrastructure projects
