Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Plumbing Engineer to join our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design team. You will be responsible for designing domestic water, waste and vent, storm drainage, and fire protection systems for a variety of commercial, healthcare, and multi-family residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:

System Design: Perform load calculations and size equipment/piping for domestic water, sanitary sewer, and natural gas systems.

Documentation: Produce high-quality construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.

Compliance: Ensure all designs meet Florida Building Codes, NFPA standards, and local municipality requirements.

Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to ensure system integration.

Site Visits: Conduct field surveys and construction observations to ensure work aligns with design specifications.
Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field.

Experience: 3–7 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design within a consulting firm.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD is mandatory.

Credentials: EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred; CPD (Certified Plumbing Designer) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with LEED-certified projects and sustainable design.
- Knowledge of specialized systems (e.g., medical gas, laboratory acid waste).
- Strong communication skills for client-facing meetings.
