Our client, a premier Texas civil engineering firm, is currently seeking a PM Traffic Engineer with 15+ or more years of experience for our San Antonio office

Responsibilities & Qualifications (include but not limited to)

  • Working with signal design and operations, timing and modeling (SYNCHRO & VISSIM)
  • Conducting traffic control, forecasting/projections
  • Studying Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA)
  • Design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
  • Proficiency with Interstate Access Justification Report (IAJR)
  • Develop feasibility studies
  • Creating and overseeing designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings
  • Designing minor roadway and preparing technical reports, developing plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E)
  • Using computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
  • Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule.
  • Ensuring optimal applications of technology and engineering resources to meet client requirements.
  • Reviewing third party reports and drawings
  • Interacting with external consulting engineers and clients 
  • Preparing proposals




  • Engage in Business Development and Marketing for project pursuits
  • Expanding and growing the Traffic Engineering practice group
  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
  • 15 + years of experience on transportation/traffic engineering projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE). Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) preferred
  • A member/associate of a professional organization preferred but not required (e.g. ITE, ASCE, etc.)
  • Ability to work on projects of varying complexities and deadlines.
  • TxDOT Pre-certifications
  • Must possess professional maturity, reliability and have good verbal and written communication skills.
