Understanding of community planning and form-based code, transit-oriented design, smart growth and sustainable development concepts
Project experience working with land surveys, civil engineering plans and landscape architecture plans
Experience researching and interpreting jurisdictional policies, codes and requirements for due diligence and entitlement projects, e.g., annexations, comprehensive plan amendments and rezoning applications
Ability to submit conceptual planning and permitting application packages for local jurisdictional review, track applications through review processes and respond to jurisdictional staff comments
Experience presenting land use plans and zoning petitions at public hearings
Education, Experience and Software Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in planning and design
AICP certified planner, or eligible to become certified
Minimum 3-5 years private and public land use planning
Proficient in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) ARC Pro, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Adobe Creative Suite
