POSITION: STAFF ACCOUNTANT/HR
REPORTS TO: SHARED SERVICES TEAM LEAD
COORDINATES WITH: Director of Operations, Accounts Receivable
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
BILL PAYMENTS
· Process vendor invoices and payments, including check, credit card and ACH payments
· Process employee expense payments
BANK TRANSACTIONS
· Process remote bank deposits.
· Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
GENERAL ACCOUNTING
· Maintain company files
· Sync billing data with accounting software
· End-of-year Sales/Use tax reporting
· End-of-year 1099 reporting
· Assist with annual budget preparation
· Annual personal property tax reporting
· Assist in preparation of quarterly company meetings
ASSET TRACKING
· Review and update asset inventories.
PAYROLL PROCESSING
· Process semi-monthly payroll for 25-40 employees
· Maintain payroll system, including:
• Benefit changes
• New employee information
• Employee tax information
• Deductions
· Sync payroll GL with accounting software
· Prepare and submit 401K and FSA contributions
FINANCIAL REPORTS
· Generate business financial reports for Principal review
TAXES
· Generate taxes and associated paperwork per governing agency requirements
· Coordinate with outside accountant
HUMAN RESOURCE DUTIES
· Maintain personnel files
· Conduct periodic HR check-ins with employees
· Assist with recruitment of engineering and admin staff
· Assist with annual benefits renewals
OTHER DUTIES
· As assigned
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 3 years staff accounting
· Experience with Quickbooks required
· Experience with APS Payroll preferred
SALARY RANGE
· $65K-$80K PER YEAR. Potential for discretionary quarterly bonuses
· Full time, in office
· Office hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30-5:30 and Friday 8-Noon
