Responsibilities:
•Serve as Forensic Consultant
•Conduct residential/commercial forensic investigations.
•Investigate/assess damages due to catastrophes or normal environmental conditions (storm damage, hurricanes, floods, marine environment, )
•Research technical publications and literature in support of evaluations.
•Apply architecture principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards
•Working knowledge of testing and evaluation standards
•Prepare forensic architectural reports stating cause and origin of damage to clients.
•Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Write proposals.
•Write scopes of repair
•Communicate project updates and timelines to staff and clients.
•Travel locally and nationally on occasion.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering
•10+ years of architectural experience
•Registered Architect license in Hawaii
•Experience with premises and walking surface investigations, including product defect cases.
•Ability to inspect homes, roofs and crawlspaces.
•Working knowledge of building structures and the construction process
•Experience writing technical reports.
•Project management experience
•Supervisory experience
