100-120k base & 18% BONUS

 

Manage staff of 3-6 direct reports with a background in Plastics / Thermoset and Hydraulic / pneumatics.

 

Purpose:

The intent of this job description is to establish duties and assignments for the position named above that support the quality policy, management objectives, and quality system. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the employee may be required to perform other duties to support company goals, policies, and procedures.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for overall supervision and schedules of maintenance team
  • Complete timely evaluations and disciplinary actions as required by company policy
  • Responsible for development, training and continuous education of maintenance team
  • Supports maintenance technicians as needed with machine repairs and rebuilds. This includes time on the floor as needed.
  • Maintains departmental budget
  • Oversees requisitions/orders for equipment and supplies as appropriate
  • Oversees upgrading, rebuilding and installation of new /existing equipment
  • Including but not limited to budget, timing, communication and start-up
  • Maintains a safe work environment inside and outside of the plant
  • Ensures that all plant facility/equipment meet federal/state/local/company safety codes
  • Participates as a member and supports the efforts of the safety committee
  • Oversees the preventative maintenance program
  • Maintains necessary records and documents required for ISO & customer audits
  • Repair and upkeep to facility and equipment as required
  • Utilizes ERP system to generate and manage work orders
  • Monitors and communicates progress of emergency or unscheduled down-time repairs
  • Meets regularly with plant manager and management team
  • Ensuring continuous improvement for maintenance department, as well as plant and company

 

Includes staffing, projects, and plant issues

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

  • Working knowledge and understanding of lead/general maintenance technician skills
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and develops team members to transition to more responsibilities
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with others, demonstrate, by example, good customer service
  • Ability to prioritize repairs and projects to cause the least amount of disruption to production
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), an ERP system and other related software utilizing a Windows platform.
  • Ability to see the “big picture” to align the vision of the department with that of the plant manager/company to ensure the continued growth and success of the department, plant, and company
  • Tow Motor Trainer certification
