Job Responsibilities & Job Duties:
- Perform field related activities including logging soils, air monitoring during investigation and remediation activities, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, collection of soil and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis, and collection of soil for physical testing. PFAS sampling experience is desirable.
- Provide professional opinions on historic contamination and regulatory compliance.
- Manage schedules and subcontractors for field investigation activities and assist with site remediation planning and implementation.
- Coordinate laboratory analyses for evaluation of surface water, groundwater, and soil samples.
- Analyze and interpret environmental data to develop sampling plans and remediation strategies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports.
- Compile and present proposal and report writing for environmental based findings.
- Ensure compliance with CERCLA, RCRA, and other federal environmental regulations.
- Travel up to 50% of the time for field assignments, including occasional two-week site mobilizations across the U.S. and internationally.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in environmental site assessment, investigation, and/or characterization projects.
- Strong task and project execution skills, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Technical writing expertise for clear and effective reports.
- Experienced in environmental sampling techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical software used in environmental analysis.
- Creative problem-solving abilities to develop innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
- Ability to perform multiple projects and tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Geologist-in-Training
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or Engineer-in-Training
- Certification with National Registry of Environmental Professionals
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to pass a Department of Defense background check
