Facilities Engineer

The role of the Facilities Engineer is to support all site maintenance activities, including but not limited to; buildings, services, compliance and manufacturing. Providing support in the implementation of in-house projects and improvements.


Typical Responsibilities


  • Maintain and repair building & machinery related issues to a high standard
  • Complete Facilities Job Requests following SLA and prioritising any Health & Safety related issues
  • Support and carry out periodic preventive maintenance activities
  • Update records of work activities and tasks carried out
  • Assist with specific projects within or outside the Facilities department
  • Attend specialist internal training and development courses to complement the above qualification
  • Ensure an adequate stock of parts is kept in stock
  • Work with/take responsibility for any contractors working on site
  • Provide support to other departments as required


Required Skills and Experience


  • GCSE or equivalent subjects including, English, Maths, Science
  • Recognised electrical qualifications – City & Guilds or BTEC national qualification or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline
  • Previous experience in a facilities or electrical engineer role
  • Technical/Engineering Aptitude
  • Analytical with Good Fault finding techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate – MS Office
  • 18th Edition wiring regulation certificate (desirable)
  • IPAF license (desirable)
  • Installation Electrician ECS card (desirable)

The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday 8:00-16:30.
