Nurse Practitioner (APRN) - Full-Time

Provide Compassionate, Community-Focused Primary Care

A mission-driven community health center in the greater Kansas City Metropolitan area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to improving access to high-quality care for underserved populations. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan while working in a culturally diverse, patient-centered environment.

Under the leadership of the Chief Health Officer, the Nurse Practitioner will deliver evidence-based, whole-person care and play an integral role in advancing the organization's mission to improve community health outcomes.

Position Highlights

  • Full-scope primary care practice serving patients of all ages
  • Provide preventive, acute, and chronic disease management services

Compensation & Incentives

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Kansas Nurse Practitioner (APRN) license
  • Active and unrestricted Kansas DEA registration
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Eligible for FTCA coverage and private malpractice insurance
  • Eligible for Kansas Charitable Care Provider Program participation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clinical privileges and staff membership
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Commitment to serving underserved and vulnerable populations
  • Knowledge of public health principles preferred
  • Must meet all vaccination requirements in accordance with FQHC regulations

Education & Experience

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a community health center, FQHC, or similar primary care setting preferred
