Scope of Position

The Production Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of production operations for a manufacturing facility across all shifts. This role ensures alignment with company goals by driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The Production Manager will manage personnel, processes, and resources, and ensure adherence to organizational policies through direct supervision and leadership of team leads and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of production operations, ensuring productivity, on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and team performance.
• Lead and develop the production team to continuously improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery, using Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.
• Champion safety initiatives across all production shifts and departments.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient labor, equipment, and materials use.
• Monitor key cost drivers and continuously refine processes to achieve business objectives.
• Develop and implement plans to meet production schedules and support company goals.
• Optimize workforce flexibility through cross-training and skills development.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and operating costs.
• Supervise and support Production Supervisors, Leads, and hourly staff across multiple shifts.
• Execute full scope of management duties, including hiring, training, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing supervisory or management role.

• Continuous Improvement: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
