Title: Senior Backend or Full Stack Engineer

Location: Redwood City, California (onsite)

About The Company

Our Client is simplifying the supply chains of consumer packaged goods (“CPG”) companies. CPG is a $4T industry in the US that impacts what we eat, what we put on our bodies, what we give our pets, and many other parts of life. Our vision is to transform the way CPG products are created.

Imagine a world where creating a physical product is as simple as launching a website—a world where supply chain complexities no longer stifle innovation. Our Client is here to make that vision a reality. Their platform is built to empower entrepreneurs, builders, and creators to focus on what they do best: creating products that delight and inspire consumers.

If you're excited by the idea of building something that truly matters and want to be at the forefront of reshaping an industry, then let us know. Led by two repeat founders who have spent their careers in CPG and sourcing software.

About The Role

You won’t just write code—you’ll shape the future of the CPG industry. As a senior full-stack engineer, you’ll be instrumental in bringing our ambitious vision to life. Your work will directly impact how millions of products are developed and brought to market, helping to eliminate inefficiencies that cost companies billions annually. You’ll work alongside experienced founders and a small, passionate team to create something that could change the industry forever.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable web applications that power the next generation of CPG
  • supply chain solutions.
  • Design systems to extract structured data from unstructured supplier communications (emails, attachments, specs)
  • Build tools to auto-collect and manage supplier documentation and expirations.
  • Develop comparison and decision-making interfaces that simplify pricing, lead-time, and spec evaluation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (and our customers!) to define and deliver new solutions that address real-world challenges faced by our users.
  • Innovate with LLMs/Al to automate supplier collaboration.
  • Write clean, efficient code that will be the foundation of a platform with the potential to revolutionize the industry.
  • Drive technical decisions that align with our long-term vision of becoming the operating system for CPG.
  • Implement cutting-edge security measures to protect our users' data and maintain trust
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve our systems to meet the growing demands of our customers.
  • Ensure Ul/UX designs are technically feasible.
  • While full-stack experience is welcome, we're particularly excited to meet engineers with strong backend expertise who are eager to help define our core architecture and systems.

What We Want in a Senior Backend or Full Stack Engineer

  • Experience architecting systems that handle unstructured data, document workflows, or transactional B2B SaaS.
  • Comfort working with AI/LLM-driven workflows-structuring messy inputs into reliable outputs.
  • A passion for solving complex problems and building products that users love
  • Demonstrated ability to function in an ambiguous environment
  • A strong belief in the power of technology to simplify and transform industries, particularly industries that have been reluctant to adopt technology.
  • A belief that a team is more effective together in the office than working remotely
  • 5-8 years of development experience building scalable web applications, ideally with deep backend experience.
  • Strong experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails). Front-end experience (React, Vue, etc.) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and version control systems like Git.
  • A desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment where every line of code can make a difference.
  • A track record of shipping high-quality products, ideally in a startup setting
  • A commitment to excellence and a relentless drive to create something truly impactful
