Responsibilities


As our VP of Engineering, you will lead Scorability’s engineering team to build and scale solutions that drive customer adoption, satisfaction, and long-term value. In this strategic, hands-on leadership role, you will drive the data and platform architecture behind our intelligent, user-friendly platform that improves the recruiting journey for athletes and club, high school, and college coaches.


  • Build and be responsible for all aspects of the engineering and product functions acting as both a hands-on and strategic partner
  • Lead the engineering team as player-coach and act as a bridge to the leadership team, ensuring open and clear communication on priorities and assignment of responsibilities
  • Oversee the product roadmap delivery and timeline, including development, infrastructure, and technology selection
  • Ensure platform scalability, performance, stability, and compliance at scale
  • Lead technical decision-making and shape long-term strategy in partnership with leadership team peers
  • Collaborate on product roadmap, investor meetings, and partnerships
  • Always lead the continued enhancement of our software with a customer-first mindset
  • Provide analysis of engineering performance while building product performance and usage tracking tools to promote a culture of metrics-driven decision-making
  • Serve as a trusted technical partner to key business leaders in Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and People
  • Lead product insights reporting to the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and investors
  • Thrive in lean environments; set a high bar for a customer-first mentality and technical rigor while operating with agility and ownership
  • Partner with People team to hire and maintain top engineering talent
  • Occasional travel possible

Is this you?


  • 8+ years of experience in a Sr. Mid-Level or higher role within a high-growth SaaS organization
  • Experience in an early-stage startup strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred (or comparable experience)
  • Proven experience leading the product/engineering function in high-growth environments
  • Experience as a lead engineer with a demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and lead by example
  • Strong track record of effectively managing and motivating a team of high-performing engineers
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability and experience in presenting to executives, boards, and investors
  • Strategic mindset with a history of fast action, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Stays up to date on the latest and most recent technologies 
  • Experience in or understanding of our tech stack strongly preferred
