Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale the core systems that power their platform. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to architect high-performance, reliable solutions that support mission-critical retail workflows.
You will own features end-to-end, from early design through deployment, while influencing technical direction, improving engineering best practices, and mentoring other team members. This is an opportunity to have meaningful ownership in a high-growth environment and shape the future of a widely adopted SaaS platform.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and highly performant backend systems.
- Own end-to-end execution across architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Drive technical excellence by participating in architectural discussions and implementing best practices in code quality, performance, and security.
- Mentor and support junior engineers while fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and accountability.
- Work cross-functionally with Product and Design to translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.
- Improve development processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and system observability.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and guide teams toward quick, effective resolutions.
- Support system scalability as the company expands and customer usage grows.
Is this you?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in SaaS or enterprise-scale platforms.
- Strong backend experience (Node.js a plus), with a deep understanding of distributed systems and API design.
- Skilled with relational and non-relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable owning projects, influencing technical strategy, and working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
