Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining production-quality software with a focus on back-end web development and core product functionality
- Writing, testing, and shipping reliable, scalable code
- Integrating internal services and third-party APIs
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues
- Collaborating closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features
- Contributing to technical architecture decisions and engineering best practices as an early hire
- Building new product capabilities, including:
- Live suggestions and fact-checking during meetings
- Automated document drafting based on meeting context and history
- Fine-grained controls for data storage, retention, and deletion aligned with privilege and review requirements
Is this you?
- Proficient in core computer science concepts and principles
- Experienced in back-end web development and production software development
- Strong skills in programming and object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and improve existing systems
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with privacy and security protocols (especially in legal or other regulated domains) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript
- Python
- FastAPI
- SQLAlchemy
- PostgreSQL
- Agentic frameworks (e.g., evaluations, workflows, tool-calling)
Compensation
- Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000 USD annually, depending on experience and location
