The Role: Loop AI is seeking a Founding HR & Recruiting Leader to own all people operations end-to-end. This role is perfect for a builder who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments and wants to shape the culture, compliance, and recruiting engine of a venture-backed startup from the ground up.
This person will be responsible for:
HR & People Operations Leadership
- Serve as the founding People Ops leader, reporting directly to the Founder.
- Build and scale all HR functions with a balance of compliance, culture, and speed.
HR Compliance & Risk Management
- Draft and implement policies, handbooks, and procedures aligned with US, state, and federal employment law.
- Oversee payroll regulations and workplace compliance, mitigating legal and financial risk.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Own 8–10+ concurrent hiring pipelines, from sourcing to closing.
- Manage ATS, build sourcing strategies, and coach hiring managers to ensure fast, high-quality hiring.
- Confidently handle hiring and separations with empathy, compliance, and decisiveness.
Office Setup & Facilities
- Secure and manage a new NYC office space, including lease negotiations, vendor management, insurance, and safety.
- Develop hybrid and in-office workplace policies to support Loop AI’s culture and growth.
Performance & People Programs (Not a current priority)
- Design lightweight, scalable frameworks for performance reviews, goal-setting, and feedback.
- Implement benefits packages (medical, dental, vision, 401k) via Rippling, balancing cost and competitiveness.
- Introduce culture and engagement programs (onboarding, surveys, L&D) as headcount scales.
