We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen and Bath Cabinet Designer to join our collaborative team. This role is integral in helping us deliver exceptional homes tailored to our clients’ lifestyles and visions.


Job Summary:

The Kitchen and Bath Cabinet Designer will be responsible for designing custom cabinetry solutions for high-end residential kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior millwork spaces. Working closely with clients, project managers, vendors, and craftsmen, this role involves space planning, cabinet detailing, product specification, and hands-on coordination through installation. The ideal candidate is both creatively driven and technically precise, with a strong eye for design and a deep understanding of cabinetry construction and layout.


Key Responsibilities:

·       Concept & Layout Design: Work directly with clients and the design team to develop cabinet design concepts and layouts using industry-standard design tools.

·       Custom Cabinetry Plans: Create detailed cabinetry drawings, elevations, and 3D renderings for kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, and built-ins.

·       Material & Finish Selection: Specify cabinet materials, finishes, door styles, hardware, and accessories aligned with the overall project aesthetic and budget.

·       Client Engagement: Present design concepts to clients, incorporate feedback, and guide them through the cabinet selection process to ensure satisfaction and alignment with functional needs.

·       Technical Documentation: Produce accurate and comprehensive shop drawings and specifications for cabinet fabrication and installation.

·       Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Communicate with cabinet manufacturers, millworkers, and suppliers to ensure quality, lead times, and product compatibility.

·       Project Collaboration: Coordinate with internal architects, builders, and subcontractors to ensure cabinet designs integrate seamlessly with architectural and construction plans.

·       Site Visits: Conduct field measurements and site verifications to ensure cabinetry fits accurately within the space and complies with construction requirements.

·       Budget Management: Track cabinet and millwork budgets, monitor costs, and maintain adherence to financial targets and timelines.


Qualifications:

·      Education: Degree or certificate in Interior Design, Cabinetry Design, Architecture, or related field.

·      Experience: Previous cabinet design experience in a residential or design-build firm, with a focus on high-end custom homes.

·      Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, 2020 Design, SketchUp, or similar CAD tools. Familiarity with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

·      Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of cabinetry construction methods, joinery, millwork detailing, and ergonomic principles.

·      Design Skills: Strong portfolio demonstrating elegant, functional, and client-focused cabinet designs.

·      Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to confidently guide clients through the design process.

·      Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·      Certification: NKBA's Certification of CKBD or CMKBD is required
