Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Lead the design of custom residential projects, ensuring architectural solutions reflect client goals, site conditions, and project budgets.

  • Client Engagement: Attend selection meetings, present design proposals, and meet with clients in their homes to guide decision-making and ensure alignment with their vision.
  • Construction Collaboration: Partner closely with the construction team to coordinate drawings, address field conditions, and monitor progress during job site visits.
  • Technical Documentation: ·      Prepare and oversee architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and custom detailing, ensuring coordination with structural and MEP consultants. This includes 3D renderings, with drawing and plan development.
  • Project Coordination: Serve as the bridge between design and construction—communicating with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly visit job sites to verify construction aligns with design intent and resolve any design or technical issues.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Integrate innovative solutions and sustainable practices into home designs where possible.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of professional architectural experience, with a focus on high-end custom residential projects.
  • Licensure: Architectural licensure is not required, but is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong skills in AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or rendering software (e.g., Lumion, V-Ray).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with residential construction methods, building codes, and zoning regulations.
  • Skills:
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing custom residential projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and timelines.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with construction professionals and vendors.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package, including profit sharing, 401k retirement plans, vacation, and paid time off.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, licensure support, and continuing education.
  • A collaborative and supportive design-build environment.
  • The opportunity to design and oversee one-of-a-kind custom homes from concept through completion.
