We are hiring a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team.

 

The CFO, a key member of the executive team, is responsible for managing the financial actions of the organization. The CFO ensures compliance with financial regulations and standards and provides strategic recommendations to the CEO and the executive management team to ensure financial stability and growth.

 

The CFO will be expected to effectively lead the financial function of the organization, ensure its financial health, and contribute to its long-term success. The CFO's duties include tracking cash flow, financial planning, and analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective actions. Also, this role oversees the accounting department and manages a team of accounting managers and accounting clerks. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of financial management.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Collaborates with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s objectives and financial health and drive sustainable growth.
  • Lead the budgeting process, including the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Provides financial insights and recommendations to support the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
  • Oversees the preparation and presentation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyzes the company's financial health and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversees cash flow planning and ensures availability of funds as needed.
  • Manages capital structure and funding strategies, including debt and equity financing.
  • Oversees external audits, ensuring timely and effective completion, and addresses audit findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Identifies and mitigates financial risks and ensures effective internal controls and financial management processes are in place.
  • Evaluates and manages investment opportunities and strategies.
  • Leads and mentors the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Manages responsibilities related to all compliance filings in relation to taxes.
  • Oversees and maintains banking relationships.
  • Oversees talent acquisition, retention, and performance management within the department.
  • Maintain robust financial management software to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
  • Serves as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices.


COMPETENCIES:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating financial risks.
  • Thorough knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence others and drive change within the organization.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and the impact of financial decisions on customer satisfaction.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA or CFA certification is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience. Industry experience is preferred.
  • At least 5 years in a senior financial role.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies
  • Experience in managing capital structure, financing, and investment strategies.
  • Experience with financial software and emerging technologies in finance.
  • Extensive experience in internal and external audit processes.
