Roofing Supervisor
Location: Farmingdale, NY
Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000
Work Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8am-4pm.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roofing Field Manager/Roofing Supervisor to oversee roofing installations in the Long Island and NYC areas. This role involves managing a team of roofing technicians, ensuring project completion on schedule, maintaining safety and quality standards, and fostering a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of roofing experience, including supervisory or management roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and building codes in the NYC and Long Island areas.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of roofing technicians, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Project Management:
- Oversee daily field operations, including roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement solutions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure roofing installations comply with company standards, local building codes, and customer expectations.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality of work and adherence to project specifications.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all employees are equipped with proper safety gear.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, employee timesheets, and safety checklists.
- Submit regular reports to management, outlining project statuses and team performance.
