Our client is a specialist investment manager structuring and managing real estate, credit and private equity investments in London, Britain. The organisation maintains fully fledged offices in London, Dubai and Cyprus, with more than 250 professionals structuring and managing investments in the UK and Europe for the benefit of their clients.


The successful candidate will join an existing team with experience in investment analysis, real estate finance, and asset management and will report to the Legal Director. The team works intensely with external property and banking lawyers in the UK and Cyprus to support the firm’s property acquisitions, sales, development, leasing, funding, suppliers, and litigation.


The firm will invest in the successful applicant by sponsoring property law training courses, conveyancing, and any other relevant professional studies both in the UK and Cyprus to support growth and career development.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and/or obtain legal advice from external lawyers
  • Review all legal documentation, identify and mitigate risks
  • Handling property-related disputes
  • Draft routine leases and amendments
  • Coordinating all commercial real estate transactions with external lawyers
  • Stay up to date with property law and legislation to provide proactive and strategic advice to the shareholders to mitigate risks
  • Responsible for providing a legal services budget and processes for instructing external lawyers
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as real estate development teams, property management and finance departments


Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent academic background from UK Universities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a number of transactions at any given time
  • Meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-organized and able to work autonomously and as part of a team, as required.
  • Ability to use initiative and a willingness to embrace innovation and continuous improvement.
  • A committed and motivated individual, ambitious and eager to learn and develop new skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Any related UK or Cyprus Real Estate experience will be deemed an advantage.
  • Legal Practice Course (LPC) will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluent in Greek and English language.
