We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client’s growing team in Limassol. This role is ideal for a qualified or part-qualified ACCA professional who is confident managing a variety of accounting tasks with accuracy and professionalism. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing management accounts, supporting VAT processes, and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and process journal entries to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Accurately record invoices, receipts, and payments, and perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare debtor and creditor reconciliations on a regular basis
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure appropriate accounting treatment of provisions
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT reconciliations and returns in accordance with local legislation
- Draft management accounts, cash flow statements, and related financial reports
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and address issues identified during the accounting process
- Support and supervise junior accountants and assistants in their daily work
- Report regularly to seniors and management on the progress and completion of client accounting work
Requirements
- ACCA qualified or part-qualified
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in a relevant accounting role, ideally within a medium or large firm
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (knowledge of CaseWare and QuickBooks will be considered an advantage)
- Strong communication skills in both Greek and English
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
