Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus

Salary: Up to €40,000 gross per annum (negotiable, depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm with a 2-hour break (the break duration can be negotiated)


Our client is a well-established and reputable law firm based in Nicosia, known for its high-quality legal services, professionalism, and strong client relationships. With a focus on excellence across all areas of practice, the firm represents local and international clients, providing comprehensive legal support through a dedicated team of experienced professionals.


We are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join a dynamic and demanding litigation practice. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of civil litigation matters, represent clients before the courts, and provide high-level legal drafting, research, and advisory support. This role is ideal for a lawyer with strong advocacy experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.



Responsibilities

  • Represent clients before the District Courts and, where applicable, the Supreme Court
  • Conduct court hearings, applications, and procedural matters
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, written addresses, and legal opinions
  • Undertake detailed legal research using tools such as CyLaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and authoritative legal texts
  • Liaise with clients, external advisers, public bodies, and regulatory authorities
  • Provide accurate, timely, and strategic legal advice
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and workflow efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity


Requirements

  • University Law Degree with a minimum grade of 2:1
  • Qualified Lawyer in Cyprus (Cyprus Bar Association)
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial/corporate litigation
  • Proven experience conducting hearings before the District Courts (Supreme Court experience considered an advantage)
  • Strong drafting skills for pleadings, legal opinions, and related documentation
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research using CyLaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work under pressure, and respond quickly to changing priorities
  • Professional, reliable, organised, and proactive, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with international and institutional clients will be considered an advantage
  • A Master’s degree and/or BPTC will be considered a plus
