About the Role

The Junior Lawyer will play an integral role in supporting the legal, compliance, and corporate governance functions of the family office. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of legal and regulatory matters, working closely with senior legal counsel and other internal stakeholders across various business entities.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial review of contracts, NDAs, policies, standard agreements, and forms
  • Draft templates for standard agreements and assist in preparing bespoke legal documents
  • Support compliance activities, including monitoring AML, KYC, and GDPR requirements
  • Assist in the onboarding process for counterparties and external service providers
  • Conduct legal research and stay informed on legislative and regulatory developments in Cyprus and other relevant jurisdictions
  • Assist in the preparation of board minutes, resolutions, and other governance documents
  • Prepare and submit filings with the Registrar of Companies and other regulatory authorities
  • Certify corporate documents and records as a registered lawyer
  • Draft and prepare standard filings for submission to authorities such as the Land Registry and Road Transport Department
  • Prepare standard Power of Attorney (PoA) documents
  • Draft and manage correspondence under supervision
  • Schedule meetings, follow up on client and counterparty queries, and ensure timely communication
  • Assist in preparing legal summaries, internal memos, and research notes for senior counsel
  • Maintain and update corporate records, databases, and legal documentation, including trademark and company structure registers


Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university; LLM or additional qualifications will be considered an advantage
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association (registered lawyer)
  • 1–3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a corporate or legal advisory environment
  • Knowledge of Cyprus corporate, contract, and commercial law
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks including AML, KYC, and GDPR regulations
  • Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Greek will be considered an advantage
