An established and highly respected therapy centre in Dubai is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Therapy Department to lead its multidisciplinary team. This is a pivotal role for a senior clinician with strong leadership abilities and a commitment to high-quality, client-centred care. The successful candidate will be based at the centre and its outreach services (schools and nurseries), working closely with the Managing Director to drive clinical excellence and service development.
Our client is a leading multidisciplinary therapy and intervention centre based in Dubai, UAE. They specialise in providing comprehensive services for children with special needs, developmental delays, and learning challenges. Their offerings include Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and early intervention programmes. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including sensory gyms and multi-sensory rooms, to support a holistic approach to child development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of therapists across disciplines, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative working environment
- Oversee therapy service delivery, including quality assurance, case management, and client outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards (including DHA requirements)
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional development support to team members
- Identify service gaps and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Coordinate outreach services within school and nursery settings
- Contribute to strategic planning, service design, and operational leadership
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports professional growth and client success
Requirements
- Degree in Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licence or eligibility letter
- Experience leading a multidisciplinary therapy team
- Strong understanding of service delivery models, supervision practices, and professional ethics
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in outreach and school-based services is preferred
- Valid UAE driving licence and access to own vehicle (desirable)
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Postgraduate qualification in leadership, management, or specialised therapy area (desirable)
- Familiarity with UAE healthcare regulations and practices (desirable)
- Experience with staff training, service development, and strategic planning (desirable)
