Our client is a globally recognised provider of multi-asset trading technology and liquidity services, empowering institutional and retail clients through advanced systems, regulatory expertise, and deep market knowledge. With an expanding presence across the Asia-Pacific region, the firm is looking to grow its Singapore-based dealing desk with experienced trading professionals.
We are looking for an experienced Dealer to join our client’s global dealing team in Singapore. This is a high-impact role, ideal for candidates with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in trading or dealing, and a strong understanding of financial instruments and risk management practices. You will play a key role in managing real-time risk exposure, executing institutional trades, maintaining market integrity, and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage real-time risk and exposure across FX, CFDs, metals, NDFs, futures, and options
- Execute high-volume trades efficiently in line with internal risk and compliance frameworks
- Provide competitive pricing and deep liquidity to institutional and retail counterparties
- Collaborate with compliance, back-office, and IT teams to ensure efficient execution workflows and regulatory compliance
- Contribute to strategic risk positioning and market-making efforts across APAC trading hours
- Generate actionable trade ideas informed by market analysis and macroeconomic developments
- Identify and escalate unusual or abusive trading behaviour, including scalping and latency arbitrage
- Mentor and guide junior dealers, sharing best practices and supporting professional development
- Participate in a rotating shift schedule, including overnight shifts, as part of global 24/5 market coverage
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a dealing or trading role within a financial institution or brokerage
- CMFAS certifications RES 2A and CM-SIP are mandatory
- In-depth knowledge of trading instruments, platforms (MT4/MT5, Bloomberg, Refinitiv), and order flow
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large trade volumes and tight spreads
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment with rotating shifts
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience trading in APAC hours with understanding of regional market behaviour
- Familiarity with algorithmic execution and automated risk management tools
- Awareness of MAS, FCA, and ASIC regulatory requirements
- Experience in DMA trading and CFD pricing models (indices, single stocks)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for trade analysis or automation
- Industry certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CMT are a strong plus
