Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate books and records across the Group
- Prepare journals, reconciliations, and perform month-end activities for both balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including financial analysis and commentary for assigned legal entities
- Perform analytical reviews, transaction analyses, and revenue/cost assessments
- Support the preparation and submission of VAT and corporate tax returns
- Contribute to internal projects by helping define scope, objectives, timelines, and outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, reporting standards, and compliance with internal policies
- Monitor and help implement group-wide financial policies and procedures
- Assist in the annual audit process for Group companies
- Stay up to date with IFRS standards, tax laws, and regulatory developments to ensure full compliance
- Provide ad hoc support to the Head of Department and Group Financial Controller as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Currently pursuing ACCA or ACA qualification (considered an advantage)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar senior/managerial accounting role
- Strong understanding of IFRS principles
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to meet strict monthly deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent command of English and Russian, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in the financial services industry (desirable)
- Familiarity with SAP S4 HANA (desirable)
