BD Sourcing Analyst

Position Summary

Seeking an outgoing, intellectually curious, and self-driven M&A Sourcing Analyst to join our Business Development team. This is a foundational role for a candidate looking to break into private equity business development or corporate development through a high-velocity, roll-up environment.

As a Sourcing Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and initiating contact with founder-led MSPs across the U.S. You will act as the tip of the spear for the company's M&A engine — responsible for surfacing high-quality acquisition targets, conducting outreach campaigns, mapping target markets, and managing the top funnel in coordination with our M&A deal team.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth platform in its early innings, learn the inner workings of deal sourcing and private equity, and build a lasting career in M&A, business development or corporate development.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Origination

  • Execute high-volume, high-quality outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, phone) to MSP founders and CEOs.
  • Craft personalized messaging, track response rates, and qualify interest using CRM and sequencing tools.
  • Book meetings with qualified leads and manage initial founder communications when appropriate.

CRM & Funnel Management

  • Log all activity and insights in HubSpot with strong data hygiene and attention to detail
  • Maintain accurate reporting across outreach volume, founder conversations, conversion rates, and geography or segment performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Strategy and senior leadership to optimize sourcing coverage and quality.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the investment team to prioritize targets, enrich firmographic data, and share intel across deal flow
  • Participate in weekly BD team stand-ups, reporting sessions, and strategic pipeline reviews.
  • Contribute to process automation, data integrity projects, and CRM infrastructure improvements.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from 4-year university
  • 0–5 years of total professional experience in high velocity environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident interfacing with executives and founders
  • Intellectual curiosity, high internal drive, and a bias toward action in ambiguous settings
  • Comfortable operating in a high-velocity, high-accountability environment
  • Exposure to B2B SaaS, IT services, managed services, or cybersecurity verticals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sourcing, SDR/BDR roles, investment banking, private equity, or growth-stage operations.
  • Experience using sourcing tools such as Grata, SourceScrub, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated interest in private equity, M&A, or entrepreneurship.

Other Elements:

  • Tools, training, and software support (e.g., HubSpot, Clay, Sales Navigator)
  • Potential for promotion to Associate or portfolio company operations roles based on demonstrated performance and interest
  • Potential for remote work after first year for top performers

Who This Role Is Built For

We welcome applicants from high-output, outbound-centric backgrounds — including sales development reps (SDRs), recruiters, founder associates, or other “hustler” roles — who are ready to translate that muscle into the world of private equity, deal-making, and strategic sourcing.

This is not a passive, inbound-focused job — it’s a proactive, outbound-first origination role for someone who wants to drive pipeline, build founder relationships, and contribute directly to the company’s acquisition engine.
