Position Overview

Join a global project controls team that leads cost estimation for high-capital industrial projects across the steel and energy sectors. As the Cost Estimator, you’ll own all estimating functions for major DRI (Direct Reduction Iron) plant projects—from new facility construction to aftermarket upgrades and feasibility studies.

You’ll interpret engineering drawings, develop detailed cost models, and collaborate directly with internal stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and executive leadership. In this high-impact, individual contributor role, you will lead end-to-end cost estimation, create work breakdown structures and financial models, maintain historical cost data, and present final estimates to senior leadership.

You’ll also support proposal development, respond to RFPs, and integrate estimates into scheduling and ERP systems. During your onboarding, you’ll work directly with the outgoing estimator to ensure a smooth transition before they retire.

Relocation to Charlotte, NC is required for this role. Comprehensive relocation assistance is offered to help you make the move with ease.
