Position Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a specialty in HVAC to support day-to-day operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial food production equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that air systems and other mechanical components remain safe, reliable, and fully operational to support high-speed manufacturing operations.
What You’ll Do
Air Compressor Systems Maintenance
- Maintain and support multiple industrial air compressor systems ranging from 150psi to 400psi
- Service associated equipment such as air dryers, filters, and condensate management systems
- Perform daily equipment checks and monthly PMs including cooler cleanings, oil/filter changes, and status documentation
- Diagnose system failures and perform repairs in varied temperature environments
- Maintain accurate equipment records to support asset lifecycle and preventive maintenance tracking
Preventative Maintenance & Safety
- Execute preventive maintenance per established schedules and SOPs
- Use CMMS system to log work orders, maintenance tasks, and repair records
- Maintain shop cleanliness and safety in accordance with OSHA, LOTO, GMP, and food safety standards
- Support plant safety initiatives including safety walkthroughs, hazard identification, and compliance reporting
Team Collaboration
- Work with other maintenance team members on complex repairs or heavy lifts
- Communicate issues to supervisors and assist in equipment installations or upgrades
- Support operational uptime and production goals
What You Bring
- At least 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience (food manufacturing or similar preferred)
- Hands-on experience with motors, drives, conveyors, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in hot, humid environments around processing equipment
