The Senior Account Executive's primary responsibility is to retain and expand an established book of business, focusing on delivering and creating additional value for clients. This role requires in-depth insurance knowledge to support long-term client relationships while meeting or exceeding annual sales and retention goals.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing clients and underwriters.
  • Analyze insurance needs and market to insurers to secure optimal coverage and cost terms for all property and casualty clients.
  • Negotiate quotes and coverages with underwriters to obtain the most competitive terms.
  • Input and maintain all customer-related insurance data into the corporate agency management system, Applied Epic.
  • Respond to exposure questions from underwriters and coverage questions from clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Supervise 1-2 Account Executives.


Qualifications:

Skills / Abilities:

  • Maintain awareness, learning, and technical knowledge of insurance coverages, industry changes, emerging risks and coverage solutions, competition, carriers, and other areas of business acumen to provide client and prospect advice and limit the agency’s E&O exposure.
  • Maintain active participation in associations and networking groups relevant to the clients within the book of business.
  • Familiarity with various lines of coverage, with expertise in at least two of the following: General Liability, Property, Auto, WC, Umbrella/Excess, Crime, Cyber, D&O, Employment Practices Liability, Pollution, and Errors & Omissions.
  • Prepare proposals, comparisons of coverage, schedules of insurance, underwriting schedules, and insurance applications.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.


Education / Experience / Licenses:

  • College degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
  • Property & Casualty Producers License.
  • 10 or more years of experience required.
  • Familiarity with Applied Epic preferred.
